Comprehensive Evaluations
A licensed therapist will conduct a comprehensive evaluation to determine the diagnosis, type, and frequency of therapy. A typical evaluation consists of a medical history review, informal observations, questionnaires, and formal standardized assessments to establish an appropriate treatment plan. Once the assessment is complete, the evaluating therapist will discuss the evaluation results, recommendations, and plan of care.
Therapy Sessions
Specific skills will be identified and targeted for therapy based on testing, readiness, and the family’s goals. Our sessions focus on engaging and effective therapy to target appropriate and functional goals while working toward the generalization of new skills. Most importantly, we make it FUN! We incorporate movement, physical play, multi-sensory input, and hands-on activities while developing speech and language skills. We utilize research-based techniques that prove to be effective in eliciting change in targeted behaviors or skills.
Reading Intervention
A speech-language therapist will conduct an evaluation consisting of formal standardized and non-standardized assessments to determine current reading skills. Our comprehensive reading intervention program provides targeted, one-on-one instruction tailored to each client's unique needs. We focus on key areas such as phonemic awareness, phonics, reading fluency, vocabulary development, and reading comprehension. Our goal is to foster a love for reading and empower students to achieve their full potential!
Parent Coaching
Parents play a crucial role in their child’s development. Our parent‑coaching services empower you with practical tools and strategies to support your child’s communication, daily living skills, and overall independence at home. Through personalized speech and occupational therapy sessions, we guide you in using effective techniques, model meaningful interactions and routines, and provide supportive feedback so you feel confident in helping your child thrive. By working together, we create a nurturing environment that fosters growth and progress, turning everyday moments into opportunities for learning, connection, and skill building.
